Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

These glorious locks are coming off soon, so I’m trying to enjoy them while I can.

Only a couple more weeks to get this long mane yanked the way I like!  I may have to start wearing it in braids and then ask mysterious strangers at the bar to pull them…

Can’t wait to see the “after” pic 🙂
Love your long locks! Cut it! Change is good! The great thing about cutting it is you get to enjoy the change, and embrace all the stages as it grows back. As women, we get to enjoy so much versatility in hairstyles….EMBRACE IT!!
Will be a great way to kick off the New Year!

  2. Love these pics, as I do the long, soft strands of your hair…I am all for change and desire, so whatever makes you happy, is what you should do. It’s only hair after all, and will grow back. Enjoy it while you can…and then enjoy it when it’s different too!

    1. Thank you! Yes, it will grow back. I only get my hair cut every few years, and it’s always drastic; when people (especially my students) freak out, that’s what I tell them. 🙂

My first instinct was to say don’t do it (hair envy) but it is right that you do what you want and I do believe that it makes you a slightly different person when we feel good about a change

  4. Your hair is really beautiful and you must have good reason why you want to cut it. The sentence “These glorious locks are coming off soon, so I’m trying to enjoy them while I can.” makes me think you don’t really want to cut it.
I love the sexy second pic, where your hair hangs over your breasts. I am still growing my hair to get to that stage.

    1. Thanks! I do love my hair – very much. I’m going on a long trip in February in which I’ll be living out of a backpack and don’t want to carry a big hairbrush around with me. 🙂 It grows really fast, though!

  5. I once had hair like this and I cut it… I never grew it back but now I am regretting that and have started on a new quest to return to long hair. Time will tell if I get there. I hope you enjoy your new hair cut

    1. You certainly have time to grow it out if that’s what you want to do! I grow mine out of laziness… it’s usually because I can’t be bothered to go in and get it cut. ><

I’ll give you a dollar and say, “Don’t do it!” But … I know. Change is good. But that is beautiful hair.
    Mixed feelings.

But no mixed feelings about the photos! Beautiful and (esp the 2nd) hot!

  7. Gorgeous hair, lovely photos. And I agree, #2 is very hot indeed.

I have a bit of hair envy myself. I’m currently growing out a pixie cut and having to get it trimmed regularly so it doesn’t look ridiculous, though I may have to cut the experiment short (so to speak) if my hair continues to be as brittle as it was. We shall see. Even 3-4″ is long enough to be grasped…
