If I’m going to reach for the stars, the star I’m reaching for may as well be the sun! (Yes, I DO know the sun is behind me in this photo, so I’m reaching the wrong way.  That’s mostly how I operate.)

Something Wicked…

So Molly and I took a walk in the woods this summer, and of course I got naked, because that’s what one does when in nature with Molly.  She sent me all these beautiful, verdant, sun-dappled, big-blue-skied photos… and while I love them all, this one jumped out immediately as my favorite, because all of my life I’ve loved all things spooky, creepy, haunting, and dark above all else – to the degree that I sometimes think my parents should have been a little worried when I was young.

My dreams of the woods are more The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon (which is a fantastic book, btw) and less teddy bear picnics.  Sweet dreams, everyone.  Halloween is coming.

Surprise Visit

Hello from Zanzibar!  I got a bit of a sunburn on the diving boat, but other than that, life is marvelous. Wish I had someone to play with on this gorgeous guesthouse bed in a really beautiful old house!  I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots immediately when I arrived… and it was only after I took this that I realized it was Sunday AND there was an actual internet cafe (a rarity) down the street – kismet! Hope you’re all having brilliant weekends.

Moment in the Sun

Emboldened by the polar bear swim I did last week, I thought yesterday might be a lovely day to take some photos at the beach.

It was just above freezing yesterday (2°C), and the beach was incredibly windy. Surely, I thought, there will be no one else there, so taking nude photos should be a piece of cake.  Wrong!  I had to walk around for a while before finding a place with no one in sight – and even then, I was accidentally encountered by an older man!

Worth it.  Hope I made his day!
